A HUGE thank you for supporting the inaugural Back The Track 5K!
On Saturday, November 29, we witnessed an amazing outpouring of community support and participation in the Back The Track events Nearly 1,200 participants of all ages, along with Olympic heroes Shalane Flanagan and Joan Benoit Samuelson, helped raise approximately $35,000 towards the Back The Track fundraising campaign.
While the event was a clear success, the reality is that the Marblehead All-Sports Foundation is only halfway to its goal. We’ve still got some work to do to make the Susan Redfield Track at Hopkins Field a reality. And you can help.
As a member of a Marblehead youth sports program, you know the value of working together as a team. Well, the MASF needs some good old-fashioned teamwork to make this grass-roots fundraising campaign a success. We’re asking all Marblehead youth sports families to pull together as one unified team to help put a significant dent in the outstanding funds needed to build the new track complex.
Donate $100 or more and receive a one-of-a-kind Nike/Bowerman Track Club Back The Track race shirt (sizes based on availability);
Donate $200 or more and receive two race shirts;
Donate $1,000 or more and have the name of your choice memorialized on the Donor Wall at the new Susan Redfield Track..
With your help, we can act as one team, build a new track complex, and provide the entire Marblehead community with a safe, high-performance facility for racing, training, and getting fit. And remember: Shalane Flanagan’s sport of choice growing up was swimming, not running. You never know where the next track and field superstar of tomorrow will come from!
Please contact Rick Settelmeyer at firstname.lastname@example.org or 781-771-6797 with any questions or for more information on how you can be listed on the Donor Wall at the new track complex. And thank you for your support!
